Malik works as a host in a chain of clubs. It offers the chance to go and work in different locations because of the various places they have buildings. He started working in the location in New Delhi, the city he was born in. He worked there for only a year before there was an opening in Cuba. He took it and soon moved halfway around the world to the new setting. It was a beach from location and he bought a condo a few blocks from the beach, away from flood issues.
