To serve and protect humanity, that was the original mission and to zuriel it was the only one. The mission was not to call humans sinners or punish those who did wrong in their lives, his job was to make sure they didn't tear themselves apart completely. a little blood shed here and there was unavoidable, but the human race has endured against conflicts within themselves, but also from outside forces they did not know lurked behind the shadows of their world. Zuriel is an angel that ensures their survival as a race, he is not a protector of individual humans. Where the humans had ever creation the notions that angles had enough free time to watch over every single one of them he had no idea. the humans multiplied faster then rabbits and as they grew the outside threats did as well so Zuriel certainly had his work cut out for him. He was designed and created for the purpose of protection. At the time of his creation he was the only protector needed for the amount of humans on the planet but since then they have grown and more angels were formed to deal with their problems, though often more petty as time went on. Zuriel was only called out for the big jobs that the others weren't able to handle. A problem for him only appeared every few hundred of years. One perk of his job however was that he was constantly down on earth and able to enjoying the many pleasure of man when he wasn't working. As long as he got his job done the higher ups wouldn't care what he did down there, which was quite a bit of time.

personality: Zuriel is a stoic man. he wasn't designed to feel emotions, he was designed to carry out a basic input to protect and serve. Over time he's learned to fake a few of the emotions but he struggles with understanding a vast majority of them. He's a very clueless man when it comes to emotion driver actions and he often makes people man when he gives a clueless response. He is a curious being though, not being afraid to explore or seek out an answer he wants. His emotions are like a switch that can be flipped one and off, but off is the default position. It takes a lot to get him to feel anything so it makes it appear as if he has a lot of patience when in reality he just doesn't care enough to get emotional.
