Hanako was the son of a wealthy lord, being raised as a future lord himself. As a child he wanted for nothing, spending his days in the gardens of his family's estate or inside the grand state house with his toys. It was not until he hit the age of ten that his father revealed to him what it was their family's service to emperor was. Up until that point in his life Hanako had never really considered what it was his family did in service to their king. Some lords were traders, others provided personal guards, one lord family even acted as scholars in service to the king. The Moto family had the longest history of lordship, having been beside many kings for many generations, but their past was the darkest and most clouded. The Moto family acted as assassins and spies for the king, working as his hidden ears, eyes, and hands. It was tradition that until the age of ten all children in the household would lead lives without want of any kind, but upon their aging their training would begin and there would rarely be a quiet moment after in their lives. Hanako was a special case because he did not only have to learn the arts of combat and stealth, but also diplomacy and simply how to manage the family business that he was taking over. It on was his twenty fifth name day that his father turned over the mantle to his son and went to enjoy his retirement in their country home with Hanako's mother. At the time he had been proud and ready for the task. Little did he know it was sitting behind a desk sending out their agents on missions or attending parties as the Lord Moto and having to save face with people he wished to slit the throats of for simply being annoying and full of themselves.

Personality: Hanako rarely shows emotion to anyone. While his face often shows nothing, his body language is the biggest indicator of whatever mood he's in. The man may seem cold and uncaring behind his hard face, but behind it is someone who is just careful and calculating. The man tries not to speak much unless he has to, sticking to nods and shakes. He is firm with his beliefs and when his mind is set it is nearly impossible to change. Disobedience is not tolerated at any levels, that being the quickest way to anger him.
