Elden was not strong, or very brave, and horrible with a sword, but he was smart. All fairies are given a life long task within the community. Each fairy child is monitored by the all school teachers up until the age of a few hundred years at which point they have a type of coming of age ceremony.  During the ceremony it is announced to the entire community which specialized school a child will be entering into. Most boys and the stronger girls are sent to the combat school, a few to the medical school, animal study, gardening and nature along with others. The minority out of all of them though is the scholar school.  The scholar school is for the fairies that are good at nothing but being smart and keeping records. Elden was placed into the school for scholars where all of his mentors were stuffy old men that taught him how the records and books in the library were kept . His assignments were to study and self teach himself a range of different subjects and then he'd be tested on them at the end of every year. One great thing Elden learned about this discipline was that he had to know a little of everything. Being a record keeper and librarian meant he had to be able to answer questions of what best to make a sword from to how much sunlight orchids liked. He had to keep all of this information locked away inside of himself to be able to access on quick notice for any other fairy that might come to him asking about it. When the final graduation came Elden was the only one from his school and it was a rather empty affair in the library but still a joyous one. Since then Elden has stayed as a scholar in the library often reading and learning still. Being as young as he was though the older scholars often sent him out into the forest to collect any data or artifacts they would need to advance their knowledge.

Features: Thin and small purple and pink wings, a long purple tail with ridges along the top and a few scales, pink horns from behind his ears, pointed tips on his ears.

Height: 5' 10'' or 6 inches depending on his assumed form.

Build: Slim

Abilities: He can changes forms before a large human sized version or a little six inch version. He can see in the dark, fly with his wings, and change to hide his fairy features like the wings and tail.

Dislikes: When he can't understand something, darkness, when people keep bugging him, hot weather, sweating, humans.

Personality: Elden is a major know it all and constantly up on his high horse. He's a witty man who will argue to death rather then admit he'd be wrong. While he is full of himself he's also willing to help out when someone asks, it is his job after all to share the knowledge he has from the library with the other fairies that might need it. He can be a little sour and rough if he's bothered while he's trying to read or do something but if he's not then he's happy to help.
